The city of Karachi is set to experience a partial heatwave on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures soaring above 36°C. The Met Department has warned citizens to take precautions and avoid heat exposure during peak afternoon hours.

Heatstroke and dehydration risks are increasing, so here are a few tips to stay safe and cool:

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
  • Wear loose-fitting and light-colored cotton clothes.
  • Avoid strenuous activities during peak afternoon hours.
  • Seek shade whenever possible.
  • If you must go outside, apply sunscreen to all exposed skin.

If you experience any symptoms of heatstroke, such as dizziness, nausea, headache, or confusion, seek medical attention immediately.
